[22 weeks]

I’m learning how to go up stairs all by myself. There’s a whole new world to explore up there. Here is a short video clip (1 Mb MPEG) of me going up the steps on one of my early attempts.

Now that I’m a little taller, I can just make it over the side of the tub. I love playing in the tub when Mommy or Daddy turn on the water. I especially like drinking the water that comes out of the shower.

Once again, I helped with cleaning duties around the house. Mommy used coolers to store food outside when the power went out. When the power came back on, Mommy cleaned the coolers and I helped. Here’s a short video clip (3.2 Mb MPEG) of me helping out.

[19 weeks, 6 days]

Last night we got 9 inches of snow! I had so much fun playing in it.

The power went out and Mommy used it as a chance to clean out the fridge. She didn’t ask for my help, but I offered it anyway.

The most fun I had was running through the snow. Here’s a short video clip (1.6 Mb MPEG) of me running through the snow. I didn’t let a small thing like falling stop me.

The snow came up to my belly so I had to jump when I ran. Here’s a short video clip (1.2 Mb MPEG) of me hoping through the snow and another video clip (1.1 Mb MPEG) of me running once I got the hang of it. Notice that although the snow was 9″ deep, I was still able to find a stick!

Playing with the soccer ball that Daddy bought me in Seattle is still one of my favorite things to do outside. It’s much more fun playing with it in the snow.

I’m afraid sometimes that Mommy and Daddy will forget to feed me so I sit near my food bowl when it’s time to eat to remind them.

[18 weeks, 5 days]

Today was my 4th puppy class. Here’s a picture of me with Mommy.

The first two golden retrievers on the left are Buddy and Rocky. Next is one of the other labs Taz. He’s 5 weeks younger than I am but bigger. Mommy and Daddy are glad that I’m turning out to be a “small” lab.

One of the things we learned in class today was a silent “stay” where Mommy gets me to sit and then puts her hand in front of my face (which means I should stay). Here’s a short video clip (2.5 Mb QuickTime) of me and Mommy practicing this in class.
